A liberal world advocates the freedom of speech, the freedom of pursuing your own religion. Modern economy system chooses the responsive mode, let the market balance the demand and supply, which gives consumers sole freedom to choose whatever they prefer. All these behaviours in developed countries proclaim that they're free countries with equal human rights endowed to people with different social statuses and financial capabilities, which implies that apart from any illegal activities, you can pretty much seek your happiness in whatever preferable manner so long as you don't deprive anyone else from enjoying the same level of happiness.
No doubt, there're equal rights for men & women to pursue their own love experience, but is it sinful to be in love with someone who's married but in the brink of a broken marriage? Of course nobody wants to be called a marriage breaker, but humanbeings have complicated emotions which are hard to describe and control especially with stimulation of the love chemistry. Perhaps, the anecdote is an excuse or the catalyst for a divorce. But thinking about this already cold soup, no matter how you reheat it, it neve tastes the same as the old one. The flavours are all gone with only faded colour or some mixed bitter taste, which is already going off date.
A close friend of mine has been confiding in me about her weird love story. She's painful being tangled in this irresolvable triangular love story. She feels guilty and hopefully by crying out loud, she could be relieved a little bit. I have no clue how to advise. As a women myself, honestly, i don't hope i'll encounter such a hopeless marriage myself. I'd go mad if there's some other woman trying to share part of my hubbie, but from a friend's point of view, it's excruciating to see her struggling in the hardship. Shall we walk out of the shade and pretentiously claim that we're living in a free country so that we're free to choose to be madly in love with whoever we like. She's not hurting anyone as the marriage's already over before she walked in. It's just a matter of time. Sooner or later, he's going to be available and back on the market again. "It's morally sinful" she says, "I'm suffering if I see him knowing he has his wife, but even more painful thinking about i may not see him forever." "Then, why the hell he hasn't divorced her?" "...." Silence prevails..."that means it's not over yet, and you're in love with a married man" I feel the sorrow drifted apart in the room. She buried her face in her hands not willing to confront the statement. I see the despair in her eyes, her fearful & tearful eyes... sigh...I dont' know how I can offer to help... |
